Privacy Policy
Introduction
Jolly Yeti LLC ("Jolly Yeti," "we," "us," or "our") operates the SkedBolt mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Service.
By using SkedBolt, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Information we collect
We collect information in these categories:
- Account information — name, email address, authentication identifiers, and profile details you provide.
- Preferences and profile data — dietary preferences, tags, interests, budget, distance settings, social tiers, visibility choices, and other planning preferences you save.
- User content — events, polls, invites, messages, interest posts, rules, photos, reviews, comments, and other content you create or upload.
- Calendar and scheduling data — event times, calendar entries you choose to sync, and scheduling metadata needed to provide planning features. If you enable "Share free/busy with friends" in Settings, we store busy-time blocks derived from your calendar so friends can see when you are free or busy; we do not share event titles or other calendar details through that feature.
- Location information — approximate or precise location when you grant permission, used for nearby venue suggestions, distance-based features, and event locations.
- Contacts — if you use invite or friend-finding features, we process contact information you select (such as email or phone) to send invitations or match existing users. We do not upload your full address book without your action.
- Social graph — friends, groups, invite lists, RSVPs, and interaction data within the Service.
- Device and usage data — app version, device type, operating system, IP address, crash logs, diagnostics, and product analytics about how features are used.
- Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, we collect and store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) / Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token linked to your account so we can deliver alerts, invites, and reminders you request or enable. Tokens are removed when you sign out (best effort) or when no longer needed.
- AI interaction data — prompts and context you submit to AI-assisted features (such as quick plan, smart assist, and event notes) to generate suggestions.
- Purchase data — subscription status and transaction identifiers from Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing (we do not receive your full payment card number).
- Communications — support requests and notifications you receive or send through the Service.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including scheduling, discovery, polls, rules, and collaboration features.
- Personalize suggestions, including venue and plan recommendations based on your preferences and calendar context.
- Send push notifications, reminders, and invites you request or enable using your device token.
- Show mutual availability and free/busy indicators to friends who are permitted to see them, when you opt in to sharing.
- Process subscriptions and enforce plan limits.
- Monitor performance, fix bugs, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect security.
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
- Communicate with you about the Service, including support and important updates.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising profiles.
How we share information
We may share information:
- With other users — according to your settings and the features you use (for example, event details with invitees, public interest posts, discover broadcasts you send, or free/busy blocks when you turn on "Share free/busy with friends"). Free/busy sharing shows only whether you are free or busy in a time range—not event names, locations, or other calendar details.
- With service providers — who help us operate the Service under contractual obligations, including cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, push delivery, maps/places, weather, email delivery, and AI inference providers.
- For legal reasons — if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Service.
- In a business transfer — if we merge, acquire, or sell assets, subject to continued protection of your information.
Current infrastructure providers may include Google Firebase (hosting, authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting, cloud messaging, and AI), Apple (Sign in with Apple, In-App Purchase, Push Notification service, and WeatherKit when you view event weather), Google (Sign in with Google and Google Play Billing on Android), and mapping/location data providers when you use venue features.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
- Profile and privacy controls — update profile data, tag visibility, guest consent, and privacy settings in the app.
- Free/busy sharing — off by default. Enable or disable "Share free/busy with friends" in Settings. When off, friends cannot see your availability blocks.
- Location — control via device settings; some features will not work without location permission.
- Notifications — manage in app settings and your device's system settings. Disabling notifications stops new push delivery; we may retain your token until you sign out or we refresh it.
- Account deletion — contact support@skedbolt.com or use in-app account deletion if available. We will delete or anonymize information as required by law, except data we must retain for legal, security, or billing purposes.
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA) — you may request disclosure, deletion, and correction. We do not sell personal information.
- EEA/UK residents (GDPR) — you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise rights, email support@skedbolt.com. We may verify your request before responding.
Data retention
We retain information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type; backup copies may persist for a limited time after deletion.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@skedbolt.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
International users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
