Purpose

SkedBolt is built for planning real-life meetups with people you know or choose to connect with carefully. It is not meant as a way to meet strangers at random. These Community Guidelines explain expected behavior so the Service stays respectful, safe, and useful. They apply to all User Content, including display names, titles, interest posts, comments, photos, and messages.

Last updated: September 12, 2026.

Be respectful

Treat others with respect. Do not bully, harass, threaten, discriminate against, or demean others based on protected characteristics or personal attributes—whether in a private message, a public interest post, an event title, a comment, or your display name.

Protected characteristics include, as applicable, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, pregnancy, age, veteran status, genetic information, physical or mental disability, neurodivergence, chronic illness, use of an accommodation, use of a mobility or communication aid, service-animal use, and association with a person in a protected group.

Disability inclusion and accommodations

Do not shame, exclude, retaliate against, charge extra, or pressure someone to disclose a diagnosis because they request an accommodation or use assistive technology, captions, a mobility aid, a communication aid, medication, a support person, or a service animal.

Event organizers should communicate known accessibility details accurately, respond respectfully to accommodation questions, protect sensitive information, and avoid promising accommodations they have not confirmed. Participants should make requests as early and specifically as reasonably possible while sharing only the information needed to explain the accommodation.

Accessibility needs vary. Do not assume that two people with the same disability need the same accommodation, that a disability is visible, or that a venue is accessible merely because a listing or AI suggestion says so.

No hateful or abusive content

Do not use hateful slurs, calls to violence, or demeaning stereotypes. This includes coded hate and abuse directed at individuals or groups. We may remove such content and restrict or terminate accounts, including for repeated "borderline" abuse that creates a hostile environment.

Names, titles, and posts

Display names, event titles, poll titles, interest posts, and similar fields are not a free pass for harassment or illegal content. Choose names and titles that are appropriate for a general audience planning real-world meetups. We may require you to change a name or title or remove a post that violates these guidelines.

Photos and intellectual property

Only upload photos and media you own or have permission to use—including your profile / display picture. Do not upload copyrighted images, logos, or other materials without authorization. Do not upload intimate images of anyone without their consent. Your display picture and any other photos you share may be visible to other users and may be saved or reshared by them; upload carefully and remove content you no longer want shown. We may remove infringing or non-consensual media and act on copyright notices sent to support@skedbolt.com. SkedBolt is not responsible for how other users use photos you choose to share.

Honest invitations

Send invites and interest posts in good faith. Do not spam users, mislead people about event details, or use the Service for deceptive promotions or scams.

Privacy and consent

Respect others' privacy. Do not share personal information about someone else without permission. Use contact and location features only for legitimate planning purposes. Do not put other people's sensitive data into AI prompts.

Disability, health, dietary, sensory, mobility, communication, service-animal, accommodation, and precise-location information may be especially sensitive. Do not publish, forward, screenshot, infer, mock, or use it beyond the purpose for which it was shared. Do not pressure anyone to disclose a diagnosis or medical record when functional information about an accommodation is sufficient.

Safety

SkedBolt is not intended for connecting with strangers. Meet in public places and use extra caution when connecting with people you do not already know well. Do not share live location, ETAs, check-in status, or precise whereabouts with people you do not trust. Friend status, invites, interest posts, and Discover do not verify identity or safety. SkedBolt does not conduct background checks, inspect venues, or certify venue accessibility and is not responsible for offline interactions that begin online or for how other users use location information you choose to share. Verify critical accessibility, allergy, dietary, transportation, communication, and medical needs directly. Report suspicious, harmful, discriminatory, or accessibility-related conduct to support@skedbolt.com.

Prohibited content

Do not post content that is illegal, sexually exploitative of minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, excessively violent, hateful, fraudulent, or that infringes intellectual property. Do not use the Service to facilitate illegal activity.

Reporting and enforcement

Report violations in the app where available or email support@skedbolt.com. For an accessible reporting method or accommodation, email support@skedbolt.com. Include enough information to locate the content or account, but do not send unnecessary medical records or diagnoses.

We may use automated tools and human review and may remove content, require edits, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines or our Terms. Serious violations may be reported to law enforcement. We aim to act on valid reports, but we do not guarantee a particular outcome or response time except as required by law.

If you believe an enforcement decision was incorrect, email support@skedbolt.com with the subject "Moderation Appeal." We prohibit retaliation against a person for making a good-faith accessibility, discrimination, safety, or privacy report.
